1. Paid Internship for University Students

Period of stay: 6 months or 1 year.

Applicant must either obtain a Certificate of Eligibility or read on for an alternative procedure. Please note that for a stay longer than 6 months a Certificate of Eligibility must be obtained.

Paid Internship for University Students Visa

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Passport (in original with at least two blank visa pages).
  2. One completed and signed Visa Application Form (PDF). (Russian nationals and nationals of NIS (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan) should submit 2 Visa Application Forms with photo.)
  3. Photo specifications:
    • Taken less than 6 months before the date of application.
    • Both color and black and white photos are accepted.
    • Approximately 35×45 mm.
    • Facing straight to the camera and with white background.
    • Well centered with room above and below the head.
    • Photo quality, without smears or markings and with no shadow over the face.
  4. Necessary documents:
    1. Documents showing that the applicant is a university student and that this internship will count as a part of a university education
    2. Agreement between the University and the hosting organization in Japan
    3. Documents showing the conditions that will apply to the applicant at the workplace and how the internship is organized, with working hours and other details written in detail as well as describing who is in charge of training the intern
    4. Documents showing that the applicant can defer all costs during the internship and also how much payment the applicant will receive
    5. Documents about the inviting organization with company registration and presentation
    6. Schedule of stay for the proposed trip (PDF).
    7. Other documents as requested from the Embassy
  5. Copy of Swedish residence permit card (if applicable).
